These adapters are based on fourth-generation (T4) technology from Chelsio, provide the highest 10GbE performance available, and dramatically lower host-system CPU communications overhead with on-board hardware that offloads TCP/IP, iSCSI, FCoE, and iWARP RDMA processing from its host system. As a result, the server can achieve increased bandwidth, lower latency, and lower power consumption.
