How to install the Intel Xeon E7-8890 V3 processor in a server?

  • Power Down: Check the server is powered off and unplugged.
  • Access Socket: Open the chassis to access the CPU socket.
  • Remove Old CPU: Release the latch and remove the old processor if applicable.
  • Insert New CPU: Align the new Intel Xeon E7-8890 V3 with the socket and gently place it in.
  • Secure: Close the latch and secure the processor.
  • Reassemble: Reassemble the chassis and reconnect power.
  • Update BIOS: Power on the server and update the BIOS if necessary to recognize the new CPU.
