Transceiver: Making Communication Easy and Simple

A transceiver is a communication device capable of transmitting and receiving data in the form of signals. Hence, the name “transceivers.” This dual functionality allows them to send and receive signals, a foundational technology in radio, television, and telecommunications, with the help of an antenna. The concept behind the invention was to keep communication simple and less costly. The invention’s peak is modern-day smartphones.

Transceiver Module Range

We have a complete range of transceivers, from radio base, handheld transceivers, mobile transceiver, and optical transceivers. We have transceivers that operate on all modes and frequencies.

These Modes are:

  1. Simplex Mode: Transmission and reception happen on the same frequency but not simultaneously. Walkie-talkies often use this mode.
  2. Half-Duplex Mode: Allows for both sending and receiving but not simultaneously. In radio communications, users must push a button to speak.
  3. Full-Duplex Mode: Simultaneous sending and receiving of messages, used in telephones and mobile phones.

Operating Frequencies are:

  1. Low Frequency (LF) and Medium Frequency (MF): These frequencies are typically used for AM broadcasting and maritime communication.
  2. High Frequency (HF): Often used for long-distance communication, including aviation and marine services.
  3. Very High Frequency (VHF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF): These are common in FM radio, television broadcasts, and cellular networks. VHF is popular for line-of-sight communications, while UHF is used in dense urban areas because it can penetrate through buildings.
  4. Microwave Frequency: Used in satellite communication and radar technologies, these frequencies allow for data to be transmitted over vast distances and through obstacles.

Our Speciality

We are more than stocked to fulfill every demand of our customers, but this era is of optical transceivers, and it is our specialty. An optical transceiver is sometimes more commonly called a fiber transceiver. Like fiber optic cables the function of fiber optic transceivers is to convert electrical signals into optical signals and vice versa. They come in different types to serve specific network requirements and operate at various distances.

Types of Fiber Optic Transceivers

  • SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) Transceiver
  • SFP: Standard for most telecommunication networks, supports speeds up to 1 Gbps.
  • SFP+: Enhanced version of SFP, supports data rates up to 10 Gbps.
  • QSFP (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable) Transceiver: It supports up to 40 Gbps for higher bandwidth requirements.
  • QSFP28: Supports 100 Gbps, commonly used in modern data centers.
  • XFP (10 Gigabit Small Form Factor Pluggable) is designed for 10 Gbps network speeds and is typically used in Ethernet and SONET.
  • C Form-factor Pluggable (CFP): Used for high-speed data transfer, supporting 100 Gbps and above speeds.

Brands We Deal In

Direct Macro houses almost every brand that deals in transceiver, be it the super-hot Cisco or the renowned HP; we have them all, from Dell, IBM, Lenovo, Intel, and StarTech, to Juniper Networks. If you are on the lookout for transceivers for sale, then you have reached a trustworthy place.
