- The USB 3.0 cable is backward compatible with USB 2.0 interfaces so you can access files from any PC

Your standard GoFlex ultra-portable drive comes with a USB 2.0 or 3.0 cable to connect to your PC or Mac® computer. You also have the option to purchase a "drive only" version that comes without the cable. Select the GoFlex ultra-portable drive—drive only version if:

- You are already using a GoFlex ultra-portable drive and want to use the same cable to connect your new GoFlex ultra-portable; or
- You want a faster interface than USB 2.0—like USB 3.0, eSATA, or FireWire® 800—right from the start

- Windows® 7, Windows Vista®, Windows® XP (32–bit & 64–bit) operating system or Mac® OS X operating system 10.4.9 or higher
- USB 2.0 or 3.0 port
- For the USB 3.0 interface: SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port (required for USB 3.0 transfer speeds or backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports at USB 2.0 transfer speeds)
