The next-generation Intel® Solid-State Drive (Intel® SSD) 320 Series offers better performance, built-in data protection features, larger capacities and more value for your money. Created with 25-nanometer Intel® NAND Flash Memory, the Intel® SSD 320 Series accelerates PC responsiveness. With sequential read performance of up to 270 megabytes per second (MB/s), your PC will handle demanding applications and multitasking needs.

Great for consumers, corporate IT or PC enthusiasts, the Intel® SSD 320 Series offers a substantial performance boost over conventional mechanical hard disk drives.

Data protection features.

The Intel® SSD 320 Series helps protect your data from external threats and internal system issues with pre-configured Advanced Encryption Standard,1 keeping your personal data more secure. To reduce potential data loss, the Intel® SSD 320 Series also detects and protects from unexpected system power loss by saving all cached data in the process of being written before shutting down. The Intel® SSD 320 Series also offers an array of surplus NAND flash memory should the controller encounter a faulty NAND array—the drive automatically reconfigures itself to reduce potential data loss.

Flexibility to meet your needs.

Available in two form factors (1.8 and 2.5 inch) and a wide range of capacities, the Intel® SSD 320 Series provides you with the flexibility to choose an SSD that best fits your needs and budget. Whether you choose the 40GB, 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, 300GB, or 600GB capacity, the Intel® SSD 320 Series delivers the highly responsive PC experience you need.

The Intel 320 could just as easily have been called the X25-M G3, as that is exactly the product we have here today. Using an updated version of the controller used in the previous two X25 series drives, the 320 is Intel’s mainstream oriented solid st...

Let's be honest. In the PC world, size matters. This is true not only for the height of ATX towers, but also for the thickness of ultrabooks. The size of one's SSD is important, too. In addition to defining how many applications, games, and data can enjoy...

The company Intel does not really need much of an introduction. It has been a market and technology leader in CPU technology since ages. One of their less well-known area of expertise is the production of flash memory chips, so it comes as no surprise ...

Ever since I started reviewing PC components here at TR, my relationship with hardware has become increasingly promiscuous. The Ikea shelving unit that serves as my test rack plays host to an endless stream of new systems—at least one every week, and when...

When Intel first launched its X25-M SSD in 2008, the chip-maker helped start a new era of high-performance solid state drives with reasonable prices. However, in the last three years, Intel has only updated its mainstream SSD once, while facing stiff c...

The Intel SSD 320 is the much anticipated follow-up to the Intel X25-M, easily the most popular consumer SSD to date. The SSD 320 (commonly referred to as the X25-M 3rd Generation) is a mainstream SSD, letting the big brother SSD 510 go after the enth...

In last month’s roundup of solid-state drives, Intel’s entrant bore Marvell’s 9174 6Gb/s SATA controller, rather than an Intel one. While the Intel 510 SSD performed respectably among its 6Gb/s SATA peers, it’s not the top-to-bottom Intel drive fans h...

This would be my second solid state disk. I finally got to the bottom of the occasional (but getting more frequent) problems with freezing that occurs a few seconds after resuming from sleep on my MacBook Pro. After a fresh installation of Mac OS X Lion a...

Intel has just released the Intel SSD 320 Series, currently represented by six products with capacities ranging from 40GB to 600GB. With this new line of solid-state drives (SSD), Intel’s goal is to expand the market in which the Intel X25M was so suc...
