Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Launching in May 2023

The excitement is palpable as Nvidia readies to unleash its latest XX60 series GPUs, taking the gaming world by storm. As anticipation builds, gamers eagerly await the arrival of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti, with recent intel from videocardz hinting at a launch on the horizon.

Insider sources have shared a calendar from board partners, which reveals that the upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is slated for shipment to board partners by May 5, 2023. The official launch appears to be scheduled for the end of May, setting the stage for a thrilling summer of gaming.

Interestingly, the calendar remains tight-lipped about the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060’s release date. With the highly anticipated Computex event taking place in Taipei from May 30 to June 2, there’s a strong possibility that Nvidia could choose to unveil its innovative new cards during this tech extravaganza.

It is believed that both the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti will boast 8 GB of VRAM. The RTX 4060 Ti is expected to share the same board number as its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (PG190), while the GeForce RTX 4060 will sport a fresh board number, PG173.

As of now, there’s no word on the pricing for these highly anticipated RTX 40 series cards. However, rumors suggest that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphic card could retail for $400, mirroring the price of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. With gaming demands increasing, it would be advantageous for Nvidia to offer more than 8 GB of VRAM, as modern games—even at 1080p—require more resources.

Meanwhile, AMD is also gearing up for its own GPU battle, preparing to launch its new RDNA3 series, which will likely include the Radeon RX 7600 XT, 7700 XT, and 7800 XT. AMD seems to be sticking to its strategy of providing more VRAM at a lower price point, giving gamers more bang for their buck. Top-tier games like The Last of Us Part 1 and the recent release, STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor, can easily max out 16 GB of VRAM.

As Nvidia’s decision to offer less VRAM than its competitor raises eyebrows, the ultimate success of these GPUs in the market will hinge on the value they deliver to gamers for their investment.
